David Fisher – Photography Tutor with Creative Green
Photography is a life-long passion with David. It has brought him half way across the globe – from Australia to Oxford – and into a fascinating career.
His interest in photography began in childhood, which he then followed up with after-school classes and a university diploma. He set up his own business – Fisher Studios, Headington, Oxford – in 2000 and it is flourishing. Anna Jackson, a talented photographer and his assistant on this workshop, is his newest team member.
His style relies on light and emotional elements. He is a purist! His strengths are the technical side of photography and working with people. Portraiture is an art form: he gets a lot of satisfaction from putting his subjects at ease so as to capture their personal ‘essence’.
Downtime is rare, but when he does have a spare moment, teaching is a wonderful challenge. He has taught at the Oxford School of Photography and has held workshops at his studio in Headington. He feels that it is a pleasure to show the magic of photography and to help others improve their skills.
In summary, he is an entrepreneurial, dynamic, open-minded daydreamer! He looks forward to meeting you at the Creative Green workshop in July and sharing some of his photographic knowledge with you.
