8 Week Mindfulness Course

Mindfulness Eight Week Course – Thursday Evenings:

4th June to 23rd July inclusive – 7-9pm

Learn how to pay attention to the present moment rather than worrying about things that have already happened or are yet to come. This puts you back in charge, opens up choice of how to respond to life’s challenges and the opportunity to find pleasure in the life you already have. Taught over 8 weeks you will learn strategies to relate differently to your thoughts and emotions, reducing stress and anxiety.

Jane is a fully qualified teacher of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and MBCT (Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy), holding regular classes and one-to-one sessions in Buckinghamshire and the Chilterns.

Mindfulness is a different way to approach your life, one that helps you to stop and appreciate the present moment. It is based on age-old meditation practices, but without the difficult postures, free of any religious association and is practical for everyday use – from dealing with stress at work, queues at the supermarket or being held up in traffic. There is no chanting or burning of incense involved, Jane promises!

Mindfulness is a life-enhancing, very gentle and compassionate practice,which can help you to relax more easily, cope with difficulty better and live a fuller and happier life. Research has also shown that it can help people with a range of problems including insomnia, stress, depression, chronic pain, and anxiety.
